GOING GREEN Red means stop! Green means go! Going green means it’s always better to turn a light off than to leave it on.
Going green means eating less meat because raising animals for food produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all of the cars and planes combined.
Going green means shutting down, sleeping, or hibernating your computer when you're not using it.
Going green means walking or bicycling in our beautiful Campus One.
Going green means using reusable shopping bags and to say NO to plastic.
Going green means you do the little things that make a big difference, from recycling, to shutting off equipment when not in use. This list is not exhaustive. Just one more, last thing: Going green means learning English to broaden your knowledge of sustainability and to implement sustainable practices that help protect the environment for future generations. Following the signing of the Talloires Declaration in October 2013 by the Rector of TVU, Dr Pham Tiet Khanh, the School of Foreign Languages members and staff are committed to green actions. NEWS FLS Faculty Member Publishes Two Papers in International Conference Proceedings
TRA VINH, 28 April – Dr Ho Dac Tuc, deputy dean of TVU School of Foreign Languages, has recently co-published two papers with Drs François Malherbe and Vivienne Waller of Swinburne University in an international conference proceedings.
The paper details the sustainability joint project between Swinburne and TVU Universities that highlight aspects of active partnership and staff engagement critical in developing cross border sustainability programs. The main objectives of the project are to offer a platform for students from Australia and Vietnam to jointly develop proposals to improve the physical environment of the Vietnamese campus, and disseminate the message of sustainability to the community. |
