Nhằm tạo ra một sân chơi vui nhộn và tăng cường tinh thần đoàn kết cho các bạn sinh viên sau những giờ học tập căng thẳng, vừa qua, CLB Tiếng Hoa TVU đã tổ chức buổi sinh hoạt đầy vui vẻ vào lúc 17h00 tại Sảnh Khoa Nông Nghiệp Thủy Sản với các trò chơi chạy trạm vô cùng hấp dẫn.

Buổi sinh hoạt có sự tham gia của các bạn sinh viên yêu thích tiếng Trung trong và ngoài trường dưới sự dẫn dắt của Ban Chủ nhiệm CLB Tiếng Hoa.

Các bạn sinh viên được chia đội và lần lượt tìm ra các trạm trưởng ở các vị trí khác nhau trong khuôn viên trường, các đội hoàn thành thử thách tại các trạm để có thể nhận được gợi ý của mật thư, đội tìm ra được đáp án cuối cùng trong thời gian nhanh nhất là đội chiến thắng.

On the evening of April 13, 2023, the School of Foreign Languages at TVU hosted an English Speaking Club event for its English majors. The event was organized to provide students with an opportunity to practice their English speaking skills and boost their confidence.

The event featured a “Mysteries of Life” theme and included several games such as Mystery Box, Mystery Story, and Life Riddles. These games were designed to help students improve their English speaking skills while also providing them with an enjoyable and engaging experience.

The Mystery Box game involved students guessing the objects of a box based on clues provided by their peers. The Mystery Story game required students to work together to create a story that included a mystery element. The Life Riddles game challenged students to solve riddles related to the mysteries of life.

The event was a great success, with students actively participating in all the games and having fun while improving their English speaking skills. The organizers of the event hope to continue hosting similar events in the future to provide TVU students with more opportunities to practice their English skills and boost their confidence.

Valentine’s Day was celebrated on 14th February, 2023 at Tra Vinh University (TVU) with nearly 30 students of Foreign Languages School. It was able to offer these experiences to students of TVU, many of whom have never celebrated the holiday before.

On Valentine’s Day, the volunteer from Fulbright, Ms. Jade Isabella hosted a Love Language workshop. Fulbright specialist Dr. Lynda Boyer joined in the celebration!

In the workshop, Ms. Jade introduced vocabulary and idioms related to love, affection, and appreciation. Students applied what they learned by writing a love letter, and playing spin the bottle.

It was an opportunity for students of Foreign Language School explored the history of Valentine’s Day, and unique celebrations of it around the world. Then, the participants discussed traditions in the U.S. and Vietnam.

Both students and Ms. Jade wrapped up the workshop by listening to classic love songs and testing our listening through a fill in the blank lyric handout. Students showed their love for Taylor Swift by singing along. It was a great time for TVU students.

TVU: On the evening of March 21, 2023, the School of Foreign Languages hosted a poetry workshop led by the Fulbright English teacher, Ms. Lau Jade Isabell. The event attracted a lot of English-majored students who were eager to practice their language skills while learning to create basic poems.

Ms. Lau Jade Isabell shared her knowledge and skills, inspiring the students to unleash their creativity and express their thoughts through poetry. The participants enjoyed the interactive and helpful approach of the workshop, which provided a supportive environment for them to develop their English language skills and express themselves artistically.

Overall, the event was an excellent example of the collaborative activities and international cooperation that the School of Foreign Languages is committed to promoting. It provided a unique and engaging experience for the students, demonstrating the value of learning and practicing English in a creative and exciting way.
