La Trobe University is offering academic excellence scholarships (AES). Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. They must also have scored 85% or equivalent in their previous degree/award, and meet English language and academic entry requirements. These scholarships, worth between $10,000 and $20,000, are paid across a maximum of two semesters (or 12 months). The application deadlines for Semester 1, 2016 are: 11 September (round 1); 13 November ( round 2) and 8 January (round 3).

Scholarship Description: La Trobe’s Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) cover tuition fees for high-achieving international students accepted into undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs. Worth between $10,000 and $20,000, these scholarships are paid across a maximum of two semesters (or 12 months). If you receive this scholarship, you still need to pay for any difference in fees for your first two semesters, fees for the rest of your course, and your Overseas Student Health Cover. To continue receiving your scholarship into your second semester, you must maintain a C grade average.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships are offered for a maximum period of two semesters (or twelve months). To continue receiving your scholarship into your second semester, you must maintain a C grade average.

What does it cover? Scholarships are worth between $10,000 and $20,000.

Currently, we offer instruction in English, Chinese (Mandarin), and French with a major in English.
 
We are seeking to appoint two full-time Lecturers to teach French during the 2015-2016 academic year, beginning in early September 2015.

Requirements:
•    BA, (MA prefered) in French, linguistics, or other relevant fields
•    Native or near native fluency in French
•    Good command of English

Duties:
•    Teach and design courses in French at beginner level;
•    Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality teaching;
•    16-hour (maximum) per week teaching schedule.

M.A. or equivalent preferred. Previous experience teaching French desirable.
